About Us
L.G. Prout & Sons Ltd is a family company formed by the current principles grand father; Gordon Prout in 1957.
The company was originally built around the local excavator industry supplying mainly phosphor bronze bushes and pins, we now manufacture components for engineering and manufacturing companies throughout the UK including food processing, mining, material handling, marine and manufacturing. In 1994 we purchased Gemmell & Frow Ltd a winch manufacturer, which is now known as Gemmell & Prout Marine Ltd. Please click here to visit the website.
Within our structure a quality system runs maintaining an efficient and controlled working environment giving our customers peace of mind that when the component is delivered it is fit for purpose. All materials and manufacturing processes are monitored giving full traceability of both materials and operators involved in every component manufactured.

In the Yorkshire area we can offer a free pickup and delivery services using our own transport, elsewhere we can offer a delivery though a courier and pallet services which we charge at cost.
We are constantly investing to continually develop our plant, machine tools and working techniques making our company equally capable of manufacturing single components to large quantity batches, urgent breakdown maintenance work. With our CAD facility we are able to help your company develop and design prototype components.
